Philadelphia, UNITED STATES: John Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi perform during the Live 8 concert 02 July 2005 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in Philadelphia. A record crowd of up to one million people attended the Philadelphia leg of the global series of Live 8 concerts for poverty eradication in Africa, police and organizers said.
The free concert is one of ten simultaneous international gigs including London, Berlin, Rome, Paris, Barrie, Tokyo, Cornwall, Moscow and Johannesburg. The concerts precede the G8 summit (July 6-8) to raising awareness for MAKEpovertyHISTORY.
